How To Get Nonprofit Grants

Since 2019, the Canyon City Foundation (Foundation) has awarded over $750,000.00 to assist numerous community service organizations. The purpose of this funding is to invest in the City of Azusa and to enhance the lives of Azusa residents.

A few, but certainly not all, of the worthwhile projects that have received grant funding from the Foundation include:

The City of Azusa
The city has just opened a much-needed Youth and Family Center. The facility will provide the youth of Azusa with many recreational opportunities in a safe and supervised environment. Residents of all ages will also have an additional option for participating in a variety of educational and recreational classes.

The YMCA continues to work with our students in group work, community engagement, and the opportunity to learn the inner workings of government. Trips to the California State Capital to see the Assembly and Senate in session are a part of the students’ itinerary. There is no substitute for seeing government in action to spark a student’s interest in government as they learn the relevance of the legislative process to their lives.

The School of Business and Management at APU
With continued funding, the school will be working to provide money management seminars to residents of Azusa. Their goal is to teach financial literacy and increase opportunities for community members to develop, grow and enhance their financial decision-making skills.

4CLabs
The Canyon City Foundation Board recognizes the need for artistic outlets to empower creative visionaries. 4CLabs provides such an outlet. 4CLabs gives students the opportunity to develop skills in various art forms. Yearly productions are produced by and with the help of Azusa students.

Our Neighborhood Homework House
With the financial help of the Foundation, Homework House continues to provide that much-needed link between home and school. Students and parents are given tools to enhance their learning abilities and achieve academic success.
